The Certificate IV in Hospitality provides a pathway to work as a team leader or supervisor in hospitality organisations such as restaurants, hotels, catering operations, clubs, pubs, cafes and coffee shops. Possible job titles include:

  • bar supervisor or team leader
  • concierge
  • duty manager
  • food and beverage supervisor or team leader
  • forecast analyst (accommodation services)
  • front office supervisor or team leader
  • housekeeping supervisor or team leader
  • gaming supervisor or team leader
  • reservation analyst
  • shift manager.

Am I eligible?
Individuals may enter SIT40416 Certificate IV in Hospitality with limited or no vocational experience and without a lower level qualification. However, it is strongly recommended that individuals undertake lower level qualifications, and/or gain industry experience prior to entering the qualification..

What will I receive?
On successful completion learners will receive a Certificate IV in Hospitality or a Statement of Attainment for competencies completed.

Can I go on to further training?
Yes. Successful completion of this course may gain recognition of your studies towards the Diploma in Hospitality.

How long will the training take?
This course is of 24 months duration if you work fulltime.
