Humble Beginnings

Established in 1991, Barringtons initially started out as the risk management and investigation company for the hospitality industry.  Whilst we are still true to our investigatory foundations; Barringtons has subsequently become market leaders in training, human resources, risk management, security, IT development and personnel vetting.


Barringtons services, whilst diverse, are perfectly complimentary.  For almost 20 years, organisations from the finance, hospitality, mining, building and retail sectors (among others) have utilised a range of products from our suite with confidence and expectation.   Specifically our major departments can be summarised as:



Corporate Risk – we provide professional advice and knowledge, resources and investigative services in all aspects of security, risk management and emergency management requirements. Our team comprises of highly experienced practitioners and can demonstrate a significant track record in the management and delivery of such opportunities. 


Training – Barringtons has been providing accredited training for businesses and individuals since 2001. This includes Vocational Training (through government funded traineeships) in subjects such as Certificate III Hospitality, Certificate III Business, Certificate III Retail, Certificate IV Frontline Management and numerous other courses. Barrington Training Services holds a NSW Master Licence No. 408439412


Barringtons also provides industry specific training such as Armed Robbery Survival Skills, First Aid, TAA, Dealing with Difficult People, Food Safety, RSA/RCG and more. We have the facilities to develop customised training programs.


Recruitment – Barrington Recruitment can provide all types of recruitment services for the hospitality industry, from bar and line staff to management.

IT Solutions – Our IT capabilities are significant, with a number of important products designed and delivered to market by our own IT division Barrington Technologies. We have the flexibility to create real solutions for your business.

Smartek - an online compliance management system that allows you to 'set and forget' your compliances, ensuring you are always compliant in every aspect of your business.


BeTrained – our new learning management system that allows students completing any of our Nationally Accredited Certificate courses to complete modules from anywhere with internet access, at their own pace and in their own time.
